With Easter just a week away, now is the perfect time to start thinking about decorations.
These quick and easy glue decorations are perfect to prepare in advance, or to make at the start of the long weekend.
You will need:
- Glue gun
- Coloured glue sticks
- Tec mat
- Easter templates to trace
- Marker (optional)
To begin, choose your coloured glue sticks. Tip: if you’re using more than one colour, it’s a good idea to run some clear glue through your gun between coloured glue sticks to purge the previous colour.
Turn on your glue gun.
While it heats up to operating temperature, place your template under the tec mat.
Using your glue gun, follow the outline of the template, and trace your design onto the tec mat with glue.
Once the first layer of glue is dry, add any extra features or decoration with glue, or using the marker.
Finally, attach a string to your decoration to hang it up! You can glue it to the reverse of your design, or make a small hole in the top of the decoration to thread it through.
